The Darroch Family is one of the earliest boat building families in NZ. The family owns two establishments related to boating merchandise, Akron Boat Trailers and Akron Inflatable Boats.
If you covet a Boat Trailer, Akron has an extensive array of trailers for purchase. Trailer prices commence at around $1450 with the most pricey trailer around $3650 (2011). The trailers range from three to 6 meters in length and are all galvanised, inclusive of galvanised wheels, galvanised springs, etc.
One model of trailer sold by the firm is the YTR – 330, the Small Boat Trailer. This model is four meters long, one and a half meters wide with a frame stature of 70 times 50 millimeters and a tyre size of 155R12. The trailer is 168 kilograms and can hold a max load of 400kg.
